About

Laura Lochbaum is a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist, Transformational Wellness Coach, and Bliss Educator.  With more than 20 years of experience practicing and teaching massage, meditation, movement, breathwork, and the art of embodied living, Laura is passionate in supporting high level wellness and life satisfaction.

Laura’s dedication to feeling good started in 1994 with a simple beginners Shiatsu Class.  That weekend set her ablaze and the education and practice has been non-stop since. In 1999, Laura began earnestly deepening her study and practice of meditation, movement, breathwork, and energy healing with a certification from The North Carolina School of Natural Healing in Meditation and the Art of Self-Mastery.  Later studies in Holistic Herbalism and Advanced Energy Healing certifications at the One World Healing Arts Institute and Shanti School deepened Laura’s connection with herself and with the natural world.  In 2008, Laura began extensive study and practice in Breath Mastery with Dan Brulè.  Breathwork continues to be one of Laura’s favorite ways of facilitating rapid transformation.

Licensed in massage since 2002, Laura graduated from the Massage Therapy Diploma Program at the North Carolina School of Natural Healing and went on to complete extensive advanced training in Clinical and Structural Massage at the North Carolina School of Advanced Bodywork as well as mentoring in Neuromuscular Therapy with Cat Matlock.  Having worked in spas for 10 years Laura also has certification in Hot Stone Massage and Pregnancy Massage. She worked exclusively at a pregnancy spa for 3 years, having the pleasure of giving more than 1000 prenatal massages, and considers perinatal massage one of her specialties.

When she’s not doing healing, research, and teaching work, Laura is most often spending time with her daughter, playing outside, gardening, and loving life.
